Tipping, for the most part, is standard practice in Brazil. Travellers will find it is a requirement to tip most services, however, there are some notable exceptions. One example is that some restaurants in Brazil charge a 10% gratuity which is worked into the final bill. When this is the case the patron is not required to pay a tip, however, that doesn’t mean you can’t still add a little extra on top of that if you would like to.
