Do you tip in CYPRUS?

Cyprus is a popular island country situated in the Eastern Mediterranean known for its incredible weather. Cyprus is a popular destination all year round, the summer months stay warm and dry, perfect for enjoying the many beaches that Cyprus has to offer. Even in winter, you’ll find the weather stays warm.

But what about tipping in Cyprus?

Given that Cyprus has become a mecca for tourists searching for the sun and waves, tipping is something that has become increasingly more the norm in the more touristy areas of the island. However, this is not always the case, for instance, a service charge may already be automatically added to the end of the bill. A good tip is to watch out for this service charge, as it means tipping is not required.

Depending on how well the service was performed, travellers to Cyprus may want to leave a small 10 to 15% tip, however, this is definitely not a requirement.

So, do you tip in Cyprus? While tipping is becoming increasingly more popular, technically it is not a strict requirement to leave a tip in Cyprus. Refer to our guide to tipping in Cyprus below to find out when and how much tip to leave.
